Job Details
The Cybersecurity and Networking Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's cybersecurity and networking infrastructure. This role will involve assessing and mitigating security risks, developing and implementing security policies and procedures, and configuring and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain the company's cybersecurity infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and other security tools.
• Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect against data breaches and cyber-attacks.
• Monitor network traffic and proactively identify and address potential security threats.
• Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and other networking equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to network connectivity and performance.
• Collaborate with other IT staff and business units to identify and implement process improvements.
• Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats and trends in the IT industry.
• Provide training and support to end users on cybersecurity best practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in cybersecurity and networking engineering.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Experience conducting security assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
• Familiarity with security best practices and regulations, such as NIST, CIS, and GDPR.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLANs.
• Experience configuring and maintaining network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and other networking equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Certifications:
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification is preferred.
• Additional certifications in relevant technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto Networks are a plus.
