Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the IT operations team, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Oversee the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, and data centers.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Manage incident response, problem resolution, and disaster recovery planning to minimize downtime and risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, such as system integrations, software deployments, and technology upgrades.
- Monitor IT budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement to optimize costs and ensure value for money.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT systems to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare reports and metrics on IT performance, uptime, and service levels for senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of networking, cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure), virtualization, and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience with ITIL, DevOps, or similar frameworks for IT service management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and collaborate effectively.
- Proficiency in tools such as monitoring software (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix), and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
